Rem o ve the Waste Toner Pac k
1With the printer’s front cover open, remove the waste toner pack from
the printer.
2Use the three plugs on the side of the waste toner pack to se al the opening.
3Store it in its original packaging.
Remove OPC Drum Cartridge
Remove the OPC drum car tridge and store it in its original packaging.
Remove Transfer Belt
1Remove the transfer belt and store it in a plastic bag in a box to avoid toner spillage
2Close the printe r’s front cover.
Remove the Duplex Unit
If y ou don’t have a duple x unit installed, skip to the next section.
1Open the duplex cover and unhook the spr ing wire.
2Loosen the two thumbscrews until the duplexer moves freely away from the r ight
side of the printer.
3Lift duplex unit up and a way from the printer.
4Insta ll the original right- side cover that came with the printer.
5Repack the duplex unit in its original shipping carton for storage or shipment.
If you’re returning the printer for serv ice, you don’t need to return the
duplex unit, unle ss the pr oblem is with the duple x unit .
Remove the 5- bin Mailbox
If y ou don’t have a 5-bin mailbox installed, sk ip to the next section.
1Remove the power cabl e.
2Remove the side plates and loos en the thumbs crews.
3Lift 5-bin mailbox up and away from the printer.
