4At the command line, change to the directory where the system file is located
For e xample, as sume the f ile i s lo cated on ma gic olor 2200 Upgrade CD-ROM unde r
the di r ectory "loadcode " and that the driv e le tter for t he CD-ROM is E. To change to
the directory where the file is located you would use the following sequence of com-
mands.
C:\Windows\Desktop> e:↵
E:> cd loadcode↵
WARNING!
Interrupting the download process may corrupt your printer’s oper ating system. Do not
attempt to stop the download or use the printer’s contro l panel after the d ownload process is
started. After the file download, allow the printer to automatically r eboot on its own to
complete t he proc ess. Do not manually reboo t th e printer.

is the filename of the system file and

is the lpt port number being use d.
The downloading process takes se veral minutes.
