Duplex/Booklet
Purpose Allows you to specify whether and how your print job will be duplexed.
Choices Off
Long Edge—Prints fl ipped horizontal ly on the long edge as in a
loose-leaf notebook.
Short Edge— Print s fl ipped ver ti call y on the short edge as on a
clipboard.
Booklet Left Binding—Orients faces (2-up) with binding (fold)
on left .
Booklet Right Binding—Orients faces (2-up) with binding (fold)
on right .
Default Off
Notes Duplex/B ooklet options are su pported only on prin ter s wit h a duplex uni t
installed and the duplexer option selected on the Device Options tab.
Duplex/Booklet optio ns are onl y avail able when Pl ain Paper is the Media
Type.
Print ing with booklet bindin g produces fo ur faces of print on each duplexed
sheet of media (2 -up on each sid e of the media). The f aces are arranged so
that when the medi a is fo lded, the page ordering is bookl et sty le.
To use Booklet Left Binding or Booklet Right Binding, the N-up option (on the
Page Layout tab) must be Off.
