4.1Making Basic Copies

The procedure for making basic copies is described below.

1Position the document(s) to be copied.

For details, refer to “6 Original Documents”.

2Check that the [Copy] key

indicator is lit in green and that the copier is in Copy mode.

The Basics screen appears in the touch panel.

3Specify any necessary copy settings.

To change the paper size (paper drawer), touch [Paper].

For details, refer to “Selecting the Paper Setting” (page 5-22).

To change the zoom ratio, touch [Zoom].

For details, refer to “Specifying a Zoom Setting” (page 7-14).

To sort, staple or punch holes in the copies, touch [Finishing]. For details, refer to “Specifying Finishing Settings” (page 7-2).

To copy a book or copy while using less paper, touch [Orig. ÖCopy]. For details, refer to “Selecting the Orig. ÖCopy Settings” (page 7-18).

To change the density of the copy, touch [Density].

For details, refer to “Selecting a Copy Density” (page 7-33).
