Setting the parental lock
Some DVD video discs let you use parental
lock to restrict children from viewing violent
and adult-oriented scenes. Youcan set the par-
ental lock to your desired level.
!When you set a parental lock level and then
play a disc featuring parental lock, code
number input indications may be dis-
played. In this case, playback will begin
when the correct code number is input.

Setting the code number and level

Youneed to have registered a code number for
playing back discs with parantal lock.
1 TouchPARENTAL on the DVD setup
menu.
2 Touch0—9 to input a four digit code
number.
#Tocancel the inputted numbers, touch C.
3 TouchENTER.
The code number is set, and you can now set
the level.
4 Touchany of 1—8 to select the desired
level.
The parental lock level is set.

Youcan change the set parental lock level.
1 TouchPARENTAL on the DVD setup
menu.
2 Touch0—9 to input the registered code
number.
3 TouchENTER.
This enters the code number,and you can now
change the level.
#If you input an incorrect code number,the
icon isdisplayed. Touch Cand input the cor-
rectcode number.
#If you forget your code number,refer to If you
forget your code number on this page.
4 Touchany of 1—8 to select the desired
level.
The new parental lock level is set.

If you forget your code number

Refer to Changing the level on this page, and
touch C10 times. The registered code number
is canceled, letting you register a new one.

The unit uses one of two processes when dis-
playing a still picture from a DVD disc.
