Listening to a CD

These are the basic steps necessary to play a CD with your DVD player. More advanced CD operation is explained starting on the next page.
1Source icon
Shows which source has been selected.
2CD indicator
Shows when a CD is playing.
3Disc title indicator
Shows the title of the currently playing disc only when playing CD TEXT discs.
4Track number indicator
Shows the track number currently playing.
5Play time indicator
Shows the elapsed playing time of the cur- rent track.
6Track list display Shows the track title list.
1Touch the source icon and then touch DVD to select the DVD player.
# If no disc is loaded in the unit, you cannot se- lect DVD (DVD player). Insert a disc in the unit. (Refer to page 28.)
2To skip back or forward to another track, touch oor p.
Touching pskips to the start of the next track. Touching oonce skips to the start of
the current track. Touching it again will skip to the previous track.
#You can also skip back or forward to another track by moving the joystick left or right.
3To perform fast forward or reverse, keep touching oor p.
# You can also perform fast reverse/fast forward by holding the joystick left or right.
Selecting tracks from the track title list
Track title list lets you see the list of tracks on a disc and select one of them to play back. When playing a CD TEXT disc, track titles are displayed.
1Touch PREV or NEXT to switch between the lists of titles.
# When the list of tracks is not displayed, touch LIST.
2Touch your favorite track title.
That selection will begin to play. 
Displaying text information on CD TEXT discs
Some discs have certain information encoded on the disc during manufacture. These discs may contain such information as the CD title, track title, artist’s name and playback time and are called CD TEXT discs. Text information recorded on a CD TEXT disc can be displayed.

Touch INFO repeatedly to switch between the following settings:
