These are the basic steps necessary to play a
DivX/JPEG with your DVD player.More ad-
vanced DivX/JPEG operation is explained start-
ing on page 52.
1Source icon
Shows which source has been selected.
2DivX/JPEG indicator
Shows the type of file currently playing.
3Folder number indicator
Shows the folder number currently playing.
4File number indicator
Shows the file number currently playing.
5Play time indicator
Shows the elapsed playing time of the cur-
rent file.
!When playing a JPEG disc, play time in-
dicator does not appear.
6Folder name indicator
Shows the name of the currently playing
folder.
7Folder and file name list
Shows the list of folder and file name.
1 Touchthe source icon and then touch
DVD to select the DVD player.
#If no disc is loaded in the unit, you cannot se-
lectDVD (DVD player). Insert a disc in the unit.

2 Touchthe screen to display the touch
panel keys.
3 Touchaor bto select a folder.
#Youcan also select a folder by moving the joy-
stickup or down.
#Toreturn to folder 01 (ROOT), press and hold
BAND/ESC.However, if folder 01 (ROOT) con-
tainsno files, playbackcommences with folder
02.
#Youcannot select a folder that does not have
aDivX/JPEG file recordedin it.
4 Toskip back or forward to another file,
touch oor p.
Touchingpskips to the start of the next file.
Touchingoonce skips to the start of the
current file. Touchingit again will skip to the
previous file.
#Youcan also skip back or forward to another
fileby movingthe joystick lef t or right.
5 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
keep touching oor p.
If you keep touching oor pfor five sec-
onds, the icon mor nchanges into rever-
sal indication. When this happens, fast
reverse/fast forward continues even if you re-
lease oor p. Toresume playback at a de-
sired point, touch f.
#Youcan also perform fast reverse/fast forward
byholding thejoystick left or right.
#Thisis fast for ward and reverse operation only
forthe filebeing played. This operationis can-
celedwhen the previous or next file is reached.
#Whenplaying a JPEGdisc, this operation can-
notbe per formed.
