Notes for internal memory
Before detaching the battery pack
If the internal battery is detached or dis- charged, the memory will be erased and must be reprogrammed.

Resetting the navigation system
Press RESET button only under the following conditions:
!Prior to using this product for the first time.
!If the product fails to operate properly.
!If there appear to be problems with the op- eration of the system.
!When adding/removing additional pro- ducts that connect to the navigation sys- tem.
!If your vehicle position shown on the map with a significant positioning error.
1Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2Detach the navigation unit from the cradle.
3Press RESET button with a pen tip or other pointed instrument.
