Entering Online-Command Mode
While a packet data call is in progress on the Data port (the
modem is in Online mode), you can interrupt the data stream
so the modem will respond to AT commands. This p uts the
modem into Online-Command mode.

Steps
TO ENTER ONLINE-COMMAND MODE
1. While the data call is in pr ogress on the Data port, in
HyperTerminal, type this escape sequence: +++ .
HyperTerminal res ponds with OK.
2. Type AT$QCSTATUS <Enter>.
The modem responds with a sta tus report. Notice that the
CALL TYPE field re ads TIA_PPP, indicating that the data
call is still in progress.
3. To terminate the call, type ATH <Enter>.
