Comma Dial Modifier Time (S8)Syntax
S8{=<value>|?}
Description
Specifies the amount of time, in seconds, that the modem
pauses, during dialing, when a “,” (comma) is encountered in
the dial string.
This parameter is valid only for asynchronous data se rvices.
It is sent to the Gateway IWF modem if different from the
default value but is otherwise not used by the mo dem.

Carrier Detect Threshold Timeout (S9)Syntax
S9{=<value>|?}
Description
Specifies the amount of time, in 0.1 second increments, that
the modem should wait before dropping DCD after the
signaling carrier is lost.
This parameter is valid only for asynchronous data se rvices.
It is sent to the Gateway IWF modem if different from the
default value but is otherwise not used by the mo dem.
0Disabled. Mode m does not pause when “, ” is
encountered.
1-255 Number of seconds to pause.
