Troubleshooting

When media heaves up at feeding

We call the status of heaving media at feeding “cockling”.

When media cockling occurs, check the following items:

When the feeding media is loosened and reached to the floor

The feeding roll media is loosened and reached to the floor if the holder is not properly pressed against the core of the roll media while the roll media is set to the roll holder on the back side of the printer. when the feeding media is loosened, please take following measures. Loosen the screw of the right side roll holder and firmly press the holder against the core of the roll paper and then tighten the screw. (The indication of pressing power: 15 kgf ) (P.2-9)

Please note that the feeding media is more often loosened under conditions described below.

After printing, when the media is moved backwards against the feeding direction.

When the heavy roll media like the banner material (tarpaulin) is used.

When a remaining length of the roll media reaches low during printing. Or when the remaining length of set media is already low.
