Managing target device tasks using the OSCAR interface

If you enter a value of 5 to 120 seconds, the first user will be warned and will be allowed to continue using the target device for up to the amount of time in the Timeout Seconds field. The session will be preempted when the user clicks OK, or when the specified time elapses.

Click OK to save the settings.

From the commands window, you can manage the switching system and user connections, enable Scan mode, and update the firmware.

Feature

View the version and upgrade status of the KVM-IA.

 

 

Display config

View current display settings.

 

 

Run Diagnostics

Configure and begin diagnostics on target devices.

 

 

Scan Enable

Begin scanning the target devices. Set up a target device list

 

for scanning in the Setup window.

 

 

User Status

View and disconnect users.

 

 

Display Versions

View version information for the KVM s3-1621 and

 

KVM s3-1641 appliances as well as view and upgrade

 

firmware for individual KVM-IAs.

 

 

Device Reset

Re-establish operation of the keyboard and mouse.
