The spectrum analyzer operates from a single_ phasepowersourcethat has one of its curent-carrying conductors(neutral)at ground(earth)potentiat.Oo-no-toperate the spectrum analyzer from power sources where both current-carryingconductorsare isolated or above ground potential(such as phase-to_phase

on a multi-phasesystemor across the legs ot a fiA-220y single-phase,three-wire system). tn tms method of operation, only the line conductor has over_current (fuse) protectionwithin the unit. Refer to the Safety summaryat the frontof this manual.

The ac power connectoris a three_wire,polarized plug with the ground(earth)lead connecteddirecflyto the instrumentframeto provideelectricalshockproiec- tion. lf th€ unitis connectedto anyotherpowersource, connectthe unitframeto an earthground-
