Alignmentof this filter is not required unless the spectrum analyzer fails to meet bandwidth specifications.The filters are adiust€dfor center fre- quency and response shape so the resolution bandwidthis withinspecifications.The adjustmentpro- cedureis as follows:

1.With the cAL ouT signat apptied to the RF INPUT,tune the signalto centerscreenand reducethe RESOLUTIONBANDWIDfi to 1 kHz.

2.Tune the signal to center screen to establish centerfrequencyreference;then increasethe RESOLU- TIONBANDWIDTHto 1 MHz.

3.Adjustthe tuningslugsfor best responseshape, centeredaroundthe reference.Ensurebandwidth(6 dB down)is 1 MHz.

4.Check resolutionbandwidthaccuracyover the rangeof the RESoLUTIoNBANDWIDTHcontrotas per instructionsin the PerformanceChecksectionto ensure that bandwidthis withinspecifieation
