The Events Filtering Mechanism enables the user to filter out non critical events (e.g. Window Warning, Current limit etc.). Critical events (such as OVP) can not be filtered.

The Events Filtering Mechanism has separate filters for the positive and the negative transition generated events. For example: the occurrence of a current limit condition is a positive transition (the Power Module entered the current limit state) while the end of the current limit condition is the negative transition.

The “start” or “activated” indication in the above refers to a positive transition while the “stop” or “deactivated” indication refers to a negative transition.

The negative transition of the FOLD BACK and MODE CHNG events occur simultaneously. Therefore, when any of the relevant bits of the Negative Mask Register are set, the Power Module will generate an event as though both bits were set.
