If you have connected a telephone to the EXT socket on your machine or to a telephone plug adaptor, we recommend that you set the reception mode to MANUAL.

If you have connected a DECT base to the USB port of your machine, we Important recommend that you set the

reception mode to FAX-TEL.

When you receive a call, you pick up using this telephone and you hear the particular fax tone. You can:

- press the button on your

machine or buttons #7 on your telephone to receive the fax.

Reception without paper

Your machine offers you the possibility to either accept or refuse document reception if your printer is unavailable (no paper...).

If your machine is unavailable, you may choose between two modes of reception:

reception mode WITHOUT PAPER, your machine saves the incoming messages in the memory,

reception mode WITH PAPER, your machine refuses all incoming subscribers.

To select the reception mode:

242 - SETUP / RECEPTION / REC. PAPER

1 Press , enter 242 using the keypad.

2 Select the option WITH PAPER or WITHOUT

1 Press , enter 243 using the keypad.

2Enter the desired number of copies and confirm with OK.

3 To exit this menu, press .

At each document reception, your machine will print the number of copies requested.

Fax or PC reception

This menu, combined with a software program installed on your PC will enable you to select the machine you wish to receive the documents on:

fax,

PC,

PC if available, fax otherwise.

Adjust to page

This menu allows you to print out received faxes automatically adjusting them to the page size. Received faxes are then automatically reduced or enlarged to fit the page size which is used on the machine.

To turn adjust to page mode on:

2Select the option ON or OFF and confirm with OK.
