134 CHAPTER 7: PACKET OVER SONET ADMINISTRATION
B2 Signal Fail (SF) Enabled by default, configures the
interface to report a failure when the
B2 signal degrades enough to meet or
cross a specified Bit Error Rate (BER)
threshold.
The default BER threshold for B2 signal
failure is 10-3.
To enable reporting:
pos report sf-ber
To disable reporting:
no pos report sf-ber
To set the B2 Signal Fail threshold:
pos threshold sf-ber <number>
Loss of Frame (SLOF) Enabled by default, configures the
interface to report section loss of f rame
errors. The interface detects SLOF
when a severely error framing defect
on the incoming SONET signal persists
for at least 3 milliseconds.
To enable reporting:
pos report slof
To disable reporting:
no pos report slof
Loss of Signal (SLOS) Enabled by default, configures the
interface to report loss of signal (SLOS )
errors. The POS interface reports a
SLOS error under either of the
following conditions:
When an all-zeros pattern on the
incoming SONET signal lasts at least
19(+-3) microseconds.
If the signal level drops below the a
specified threshold.
To enable reporting:
pos report slos
To disable reporting:
no pos report slos
