To configure which DHCP servers the CMTS forwards requests to, use the
dhcp-policy command. Using DHCP Policies, you can configure the DHCP
Relay agent to forward requests to a list of up to 32 DHCP servers. For more information, see “Configuring DHCP and BOOTP Policies” on page253.
Field Description
dhcp-relay: [enabled or disabled] Indicates whether or not the DHCP
Relay is enabled on this cable
interface.
Add Agent Options Indicates whether Agent Options are
enabled on this cable interface.
Drop Mismatch Indicates whether the Drop Mismatch
options is enable or disabled.
Max Pkt Len Maximum packet length allowed to
be relayed.
Relay Mode DHCP Relay mode configured on this
interface.
giAddresses Indicates the IP gateway that is used
by:
Cable modems (CM)
CPE devices attached to this cable
interface
MTA devices
