Each 10Base-FL port forwards Ethernet minimum-sized 64-byte packets at the maximum attainable rate of 14,880 packets per second (pps).

The 10/100 port can forward 64-byte packets at 148,000pps.

The IntraSwitch 5308FL fully supports the 802.1d transparent Ethernet bridging standard. IEEE 802.1d compliance provides automatic address learning, packet ﬁltering, and the Spanning Tree Protocol.
