Console Management

Overview The IntraSwitch 5308FL’s Local Management Interface is a menu-driven application that provides for management and configuration of the IntraSwitch 5308FL and each of its ports.

The Local Management Interface can be accessed via two meth- ods:

❏Out-of-band connection to the Console port

❏In-band connection via a terminal emulator such as Telnet (one session)

ΔNote: See Chapter 4,“Setting Up For Man- agement” for instructions on how to connect to the Local Management Interface using one of the two methods listed above.

This chapter describes each menu item within the Local Management Interface as well as how to perform the configuration and management tasks outlined in Tables 5-1 and 5-2.
