8. In the DA-Priority field, select the priority that you want as sociated with
frames that have this destination MAC address:
■None
■Aft—Uses the priority that is assigned to the MA C address in the
AFT. If you select this option, you must select a numerical priority
for the MAC address. Priorities ran ge from 0 to 7.
■Max-port-aft—Determines the priority of a frame by using the
higher of the:
—Physical port priority or tag prior ity
—Destination MAC address priority
If you select this option, you must select a numerical pr iori ty f or th e
MAC address. Priorities range from 0 to 7.
■Port—Uses the priority of the physical port, Cisco ISL tag, or
802.1p tag.
* Note: This field applies only to 80-series modules.
9. Click APPLY to save your changes, or CANCEL to reset fields to their
default values.
CLI Command To add entries to the AFT manually using the CLI, enter the following
command in Configure mode:
(configure)# set aft entry <mac address>
Option 82 for DHCP
Overview Option 82 for DHCP includes two suboptions:
■Suboption 1 identifies the slot and physical port number fro m which
the DHCP request was received.
■Suboption 2 identifies the IP addre ss and, if available, the system
name of the switch.
By default, both of these suboptions are enabled. You can change the status
of either or both suboptions by using the Web Agent, Command Line
Interface (CLI), or SNMP.
