same as an Event index number identified in the Event group. If there is no corresponding entry in the Event Table, then no association exists and no event will be generated. In particular, if this value is zero, no associ- ated event will be generated, as zero is not a valid event index number.

Event

The Event Group controls the generation and notification of events. Each entry in the Event Table describes the parameters of the event that can be triggered. Each event entry is fired by an associated condition located else- where in the MIB – in the case of this software utility, the Alarm Group.

To define a set of parameters that describe an event to be generated when certain conditions are met, enter the appropriate information in the fields to- wards the bottom of the Event window and click on the Add button -or- use Add under the Alarm Table which will automatically create the event entry.

Event Table

The Event Table consists of a list of events to be generated when an event is fired and is shown below. To Add a new event to the Event Table, simply fill in the appropriate information in the boxes towards the bottom of the screen and click on the Add button.
