Out-of-Band/ Console Configuration

Dual-Speed Stackable Hub Web-based Management User’s Guide

Group Role The role of the Hub within the stack, either pri- mary-master, backup-master, or slave.

Hardware Revision The version of the repeater hardware board used in this Hub.

Status Tells whether the Hub is up (online and working) or down.

Last Operation Status Change Time of the last status change for the Hub. A status change occurs when the Hub goes online or offline.

Isolated/ Reconnected Group This is an option to isolate or reconnect the Hub to the hub stack.

Out-of-Band/ Console Configuration

Clicking on the word Console which will appear on the representation of the hub stack if a console is present, allows the Hub diagnostic port to be con- figured. The diagnostic port can be set to Console (in-band) for VT-100 and terminal emulation which may be necessary for basic configurations and initial setup, or to out-of-bandmanagement which enables the hub to be managed using SNMP via the diagnostic port.
