You can use PREV GROUP and NEXT GROUP to display information about another hub, or you can enter the hub Group ID number directly in the Group ID field.
Controlling Individual Ports
The Port State Menu, accessible from the Network Monitoring menu, allows you to view the status of individual ports and control their settings. The in- formation displayed includes:
♦ Group ID. This field determines which hub
♦Port ID. This field determines which port is displayed.
♦ Connector Type. This field shows the port
♦Link Test. This field displays Up if there is a station connected to the port; otherwise, it displays Down.
♦ Link Test State. This field displays Enable if the port link status is to be
♦Receive Polarity. This field always displays Normal if the hub is op- erating properly.
♦Auto Partition. This field displays Yes if the port has been automati- cally partitioned off from the rest of the network due to excessive errors on the segment. The field displays No for normal operation.
♦Admin State. This toggle determines whether the port should be en- abled or disabled (manually partitioned). Setting the Admin State to Disabled will isolate the port from the rest of the network. This vari- able is user configurable.
