♦System Name. This parameter corresponds to the MIB-II object

requests, allowing them to be used for network management purposes. Each of these fields is restricted to 64 characters:

System Name. This parameter corresponds to the MIB-II object

sysName, and is used to assign a name to the hub for administrative purposes. The hub domain name is often used, provided a name has been assigned.

System Location. This parameter corresponds to the MIB-II object sysLocation, and is used to indicate the physical location of the hub for administrative purposes.

System Contact. This parameter corresponds to the MIB-II object sysContact, and is used to note the name and contact information of the person responsible for administering the hub.

Display Timeout. An additional setting, the console time-out, may be used to automatically log out the console interface after a predetermined period of inactivity. This feature increases hub security by preventing ac- cess to the hub after the interface has been inadvertently left logged on. A setting of 0 disables this feature.
