Installing an Expansion Card CAUTION: Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system cover and access any of the

Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.

If you are installing a full-length expansion card, remove the expansion-card stabilizer:
a
Swing up the end of the stabilizer toward the front of the system. See Figure3-9.

Draw the stabilizer straight up and out of the system.
4Open the plastic expansion-card retainer adjacent to the back of the empty slot. See
Figure 3- 9
