10Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, tighten the heat-sink retention screws. See Figure 3-23.

12Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 85.

13Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.

14Press <F2> to enter the System Setup program, and check that the processor information matches the new system configuration. See "Entering the System Setup Program" on page 58.

15Run the system diagnostics to verify that the new processor operates correctly.

1Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.
