Removing the RAID Battery

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. NOTE: The information in this section applies only to systems with the optional RAID controller card.

1Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.

2Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 83.

3Disconnect the RAID battery cable by gently pulling the cable connector out of the connector. See Figure 3-26.

4Pull back gently on the two tabs holding the RAID battery and lift the RAID battery from the battery carrier. See Figure 3-26.
