3.8 USB Application
USB diskette can be regarded as an FTP server. By way of Vigor router, users on LAN/WAN can access, write and read data stored in USB diskette. After setting the configuration in USB Application, you can type the IP address of the Vigor router and username/password created in User>>User Configuration on the FTP client software. Thus, the client can use the FTP site (USB diskette) through Vigor router.

At present, the Vigor router can support USB diskette with versions of FAT16 and FAT32 only. Therefore, before connecting the USB diskette into the Vigor router, please make sure the memory format for the USB diskette is FAT16 or FAT32. It is recommended for you to use FAT32 for viewing the filename completely (FAT16 cannot support long filename).
