Scanning does not start.

Connect the interface cable correctly.

For how to connect the cable, refer to "Chapter 3 Connecting the Cables" in the Getting Started.

Use a new interface cable and correctly connect it.

Turn off the scanner and the computer, specify a correct SCSI ID. Turn on the scanner again. Then, restart the computer.

For how to specify the SCSI ID, refer to "Chapter 3 Connecting the Cables" in the Getting Started.

The scanner operation is normal.

If you cannot solve the problem after taking the measures above, check the items shown in "8.4 Before Contacting Your Dealer or Scanner Service Provider" (on page 152), and then contact the dealer where you purchased the scanner or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider.
