This page descriptor is used to set the time over which the power condition state is transformed into the idle condition or standby condition state. However, because the HDD does not support the above states, the parameter cannot be set on this page.

a. Idle

Specifies whether to permit the HDD to enter the Idle condition when the

HDD does not receive a command within the time specified in the "Idle

Condition Timer" field.

The HDD disregards this setting and executes Power Save.

b.Idle Condition Timer

Specifies the time before the HDD enters the Idle condition. When the Idle bit is "1", the HDD disregards the specified value and enters Power Save mode in two seconds (x 14) fixed.

c.Standby (unsupported)

Specifies whether to permit the HDD to enter the Standby condition if the HDD does not receive a command within the time specified in the "Standby Condition Timer" field.
