b.Write error rate

The HDD monitors the number of write errors that have occurred during write processing, in relation to the number of sectors that have been actually written and the number of sectors contained in the sample. If the number of write errors reaches the threshold, the HDD considers that a failure prediction reporting condition has developed.

The written sectors and write errors counted include those involved in write processing that was explicitly performed by WRITE commands.
