ÊRemove the power cable from the installed power supply unit.

ÊPush the green catch in the direction of the arrow (1) while pulling the power supply unit out of its mounting location (2) by the handle.

ÊSlide the new power supply unit into the empty slot until the locking mechanism engages.

IMake sure that the power supply unit engages correctly in the slot and is locked in position.

This is the only way to prevent the power supply unit from sliding out of its mountings and being damaged during transportation.

ÊConnect the newly installed power supply unit.

8.1.2Hot-plug hard disk drives

The hard disk drives which can be ordered for the PRIMERGY TX200 S6 are supplied already mounted in an installation frame so that defective hard disk drives can be replaced and new hard disk drives can be added during operation. The hard disk drive and installation frame together make up the HDD module.

VCAUTION!

The hard disk drive must not be removed from the installation frame by anyone except a service technician.

The HDD modules (drives) must all be marked clearly so that they can be put back in their original places after an upgrade. If this is not done, existing data can be lost.

The hot-plug function is only possible in conjunction with a corresponding RAID configuration.

Further information about the RAID configuration or RAID level can be found in the RAID controller documentation.

Do not touch the circuitry on boards or soldered parts. Hold the metallic areas or the edges of the circuit boards.

Before removing the unit, turn the power off and wait for about 30 seconds until the disk stops spinning completely.

When the hard disk unit is starting up, you may hear a resonant noise for a while, but this does not mean a failure.
