If you are upgrading your server from one processor to two (or more), you may need to reconfigure your operating system so it can recognize the additional processor. For more information, see your operating system’s documentation.
To remove a processor:
1 Install the most current BIOS version. For more information, see “Updating the BIOS” on page 155.

5 Remove the processor air baffle by following the instructions in “Removing and installing the processor air baffle” on page 67.
6 Loosen the four captive screws (one on each corner of the heatsink).
