Date command

This command displays or sets the system date and time. To set the date and time the information string must be provided in this format: MMDDhhmmCCYY. The new date and time takes effect immediately.

Authority

Admin session, except to display the date.

[MMDDhhmmCCYY]

Specifies the date—this requires an admin session. If you omit [MMDDhhmmCCYY], the current date is displayed, which does not require an admin session.

Firmware Install command

Downloads firmware from a remote host to the switch, installs the firmware, and then resets the switch (without a power-on self test) to activate the firmware. If possible, a non-disruptive firmware activation is performed. The command prompts you for the IP address of the remote host, an account name and password on the remote host, and a pathname for the firmware image file.
