Using EconoMode (draft) printing

EconoMode (draft) printing allows the printer to use less toner on each page. Selecting this option might extend the life of your print cartridge and reduce your cost per page, but will reduce print quality.

EconoMode is not available if you are using a non-HP print cartridge.

To use EconoMode (draft) printing on Windows computers

1Open the printer driver (see “Changing the settings for a print job” on page 47).

2On the Paper/Quality tab, select EconoMode.

3Click OK.

Choosing print-quality settings

If you need advanced print quality, you can choose custom settings.

Resolution options:

Changing resolution can change the formatting of your text.
