lReplace the toner cartridge.

Faulty registration/skewed image

lUnload the paper and re-stack it in the input tray

lReadjust the guides to the width of the paper.

lToo many sheets of paper may have been loaded into the paper input slot. Load no more than 100 sheets of paper.

lThe paper may not meet HP’s paper specifications. Select different paper.

lClean the Paper Pickup Roller. If you cannot remove the dirt, the roller may be worn out. Replace the roller.

lCheck separation pad and subpads. If they are worn, replace them.

lClean the Delivery Roller. If you cannot remove the dirt, replace the roller.

lRestack the paper in the paper input source and try reprinting the job.

Distorted image or BD failure

lMake certain the printer is not facing the sunlight.

lThe paper may not meet HP’s paper specifications. Select different paper.

lClean the Laser/Scanner Assembly by blowing compressed air in the slot on the bottom of the assembly.

lMake sure the two Laser/Scanner connectors are firmly seated.

lReplace the Laser/Scanner unit.

lReplace the DC Controller.
