Service approach
Repair of the printer normally begins with the use of the printer’s internal diagnostics in conjunction with the troubleshooting procedures in Chapter 7. Once a faulty part is located, repair is generally accomplished by assembly level replacement of Field Replaceable Units (FRUs). Some mechanical assemblies may be repaired at the subassembly level. HP offers remanufactured assemblies for some selected parts. These are identified in Chapter 8 and can be ordered through HP’s Commercial Service and Support
