6.Lift the heat sink assembly from the computer (6).

CAUTION: To reduce a degradation in thermal performance, be sure not to touch the thermal grease on the surface of the processor or the heat sink.

7.If you need to remove the fan from the heat sink, remove the three small Phillips screws that secure the fan to the heat sink, and lift the fan from the heat sink.

To replace the heat sink, reverse the removal procedures.
