Setting dialing and detection options

Use the following procedures to set a dialing prefix, redial options, or tone detection.

Setting a dialing prefix

Use the dialing prefix setting to specify a prefix number (such as a “9” to gain access to an outside line) that isautomatically added to all phone numbers when they are dialed.

To set a dialing prefix

Note	You might need a pause between the prefix and the phone number. To insert a two second pause, type a
	comma (,).

1Press the MENU button.

2Touch FAX.

3Scroll to and touch FAX SEND.

4Scroll to and touch DIAL PREFIX.
