CMOS Setup

"COM Port:

Sets one of the following addresses or disables the primary COM port:

"COM1, 3F8, IRQ 4 (default)

"COM3, 338, IRQ 4

"COM3, 3E8, IRQ 4

"COM3, 2E8, IRQ 4

"COM3, 220, IRQ 4

"Disabled

"5 Volt Power:

Enabled, this provides 5 volts power out of pin 9 of the primary COM port. Typically used for tethered scanners — ON or OFF (default).

"NOTE: The IR Port and the Ext COM Port cannot share COM2.

"IR Port:

Sets the COM1, 2F8, IRQ 10 address (default); or disables the IR Port.

"Ext COM Port:

Sets either the COM2, 2F8, IRQ 3 or COM4, 2E8, IRQ 3 address; or disables the external COM port (default).

"Scanner Port:

(Read-Only)Displays the address for the inter- nal scanner port.

"Aux Port:

Sets the 308, IRQ 5 address; or disables the Aux- iliary port (default). In the 6620 Computer, this port is attached to the optional internal GPS ra- dio module. (See Section 4 about the GPS driv- ers.)

"IR Type:

Sets the IrDA type — IrDA1.0 (default), IrDA1.1, or ASK.
