1.4.4 Modem Interface Cards: CDM-Qx/QxL, -700, -710, -710G, SLM-5650/5650A

The following tables indicate the TMI (Traffic Modem Interface) and RMI (Redundant Interface)

cards that should be used with each modem and data type:

Notes – As of April 2007:

1. Use CRS-316 instead of CRS-315. To maintain older TMIs in the field, Switch firmware

must also support the CRS-315.

2. Use CRS-336 instead of CRS-335. To maintain older TMIs in the field, Switch firmware must

also support the CRS-335.

3. Use CRS-306 instead of CRS-305. To maintain older RMIs in the field, Switch firmware

must also support the CRS-335.

4. For modems where the terrestrial data type is Ethernet, the User can use only one Ethernet

port in Single-port Ethernet Bridge Mode, on the modem rear panel (when using the optional

Ethernet interface).
