Problem

Black bars can be seen on a monitor.

Cannot control a camera.

Cannot select a recorder.

Cannot control a recorder.

Check item and remedy

When the unit is powered on or a camera (not supporting VD2) is connected, black bars may be seen on the monitor for several seconds for images not supporting VD2 (images from recorder or cameras of other manufacturers). To elimi- nate the black bars, set VD2 to OFF.

Check the connection between the camera and the unit.

Check if the selected camera channel is not set for the recorder connection

Check the level settings or camera access setting.

Check the LCD (or LED) display or indicators of system con- troller. When "Busy (or BUSY)" is blinking (or lighting), cam- era control is not available.

Coaxial communication:

Check if the DATA setting of the camera channel is ON in VD2/DATA/CABLE COMPENSATION of SETUP MENU.

Check if the camera channel is not set for RS-485 commu- nication in RS485 CAMERA of SETUP MENU.

RS-485 communication:

Check if the RS-485 port and unit address of the camera channel is set properly in RS485 CAMERA of SETUP MENU.

Check if the LCN is set for the camera channel connecting the recorder. Without the LCN setting, recorder selection is unavailable. Check the setting in “System” – “Recorder” of WJ-SX650 Series Administrator Console.

Check the connection and settings between the recorder and the unit.

Check the DATA port setting (HDR).

Check the level settings or recorder access setting.
