Showsthe function names.
Usingthe initial settings, you can customize
varioussystem settings to achieve optimal per-
formancefrom this unit.
1 Touchthe source icon and then touch
Offto turn this unit off.
2 Touchthe screen to display the touch
panelkeys.
3 TouchAV Menu and then touch
InitialMenu to display the function names.
Thefunction names are displayed and oper-
ableones are highlighted.
4 TouchESC to return to the ordinary dis-
play.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch
Back.
Switching the auxiliary setting
Auxiliarydevices connected to this unit canbe
activatedindividually. Set each AUX source to
ONwhen using. For more information about
connectingor using auxiliary devices, refer to
Usingthe AUX source on page 58.

Switching the auxiliary 1 setting

%TouchAUX1 on the initial menu to se-
lectdesired setting.

with4-pole mini plug cable (e.g., CD-

!Audioauxiliary device connected with
stereomini plug cable
!iPodan iPod with video capabilities con-
nectedwith CD-IU50V
!OffNo auxiliary device is connected

Switching the auxiliary 2 setting

%TouchAUX2 on the initial menu to turn
auxiliary2 setting on.
#Toturn auxiliary 2 setting off, touch AUX2
again.
Setting the rear output andsubwoofer controller
Thisunits rear output (rear speaker leads out-
putand RCA rear output) can be used for full-
rangespeaker (Full) or subwoofer
(Subwoofer)connection. If you switch the
rearoutput setting to Subwoofer, you can
connecta rear speaker lead directly to a sub-
wooferwithout using an auxiliar y amp.
Initially,the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
erconnection (Full). When rear output is con-
nectedto full range speakers (when Full is
selected),you can connect other full range
speakers(Rear) or a subwoofer (Subwoofer)
tothe RCA rear output.
!Whenthe multi-channel processor (DEQ-
P8000)is connected to this unit, you can-
notoperate this function.
1 TouchRear Speaker on the initial menu.
2 Touchcor dnext to Rear Speaker to
switchthe rear output setting.
Touchcto select full-range speaker and Full
appearsin the display. Touch dto select sub-
wooferand Subwoofer appears in the dis-
play.
