Switching the media file type
Ifa disc contains a mixture of various media
filetypes such as DivX and MP3, you can
switchbetween media file types to play. Refer
toSwitching the media file type on page 16.

Using advanced sound
retriever
Advancedsound retriever function automati-
callyenhances compressed audio and re-
storesrich sound.
%TouchASR repeatedly to select the de-
siredsetting.
Off(off)—ASR1—ASR2
#ASR2is more effective than ASR1.
Note
Whenyou use this unit with a multi-channel pro-
cessor(DEQ-P8000) and switch the advanced
soundretriever function to ASR1 or ASR2, the vo-
lumewill become slightly lower. The volume will
becomemuch lower for ASR2 than it will for
ASR1.Take care when you increase the volume
forASR2 and then switch to Off, because the vo-
lumewill suddenly seem much louder.

1 TouchAV Menu and then touch
FunctionMenu to display the function
names.
Thefunction names are displayed and oper-
ableones are highlighted.
2 TouchESC to return to the playback dis-
play.

Repeating play
Thereare two repeat play ranges for the CD
playback:Track (track repeat) and Disc (disc
repeat).
%TouchRepeat on the function menu to
selectthe repeat range.
!Disc–Repeat the current disc
!Track–Repeat the current track
#Ifyou perform track search or fastforward/re-
verse,the repeat play range changes to Disc.
#Whenplaying discs with compressed audio
andaudio data (CD-DA), repeat play performs
withinthe currently playing data type even if Disc
isselected.
Playing tracks in random order
Randomplay lets you play back tracks on the
CDin a random order.
%TouchRandom on the function menu to
turnrandom play on.
Tracksplay in a random order.
#Toturn random play off, touch Random
again.
Scanning tracks of a CD
Scanplay lets you hear the first 10 seconds of
eachtrack on the CD.
1 TouchScan on the function menu to
turnscan play on.
Thefirst 10 seconds of each track is played.
2 Whenyou find the desired track touch
Scanagain.
#Afterscanning of a CD is finished, normal
playbackof the tracks will begin again.
