1Systemmenu display
Showsthe system function names.
1 TouchAV Menu and then touch
SystemMenu to display the system func-
tionnames.
Thesystem function names are displayed and
operableones are highlighted.
2 TouchESC to return to the display of
eachsource.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch
Back.
Changing the wide screenmode
Youcan select a desired mode for enlarging a
4:3picture to a 16:9 one.
1 TouchWide Mode on the system menu.
2 Touchthe desired wide mode setting.
Full(full)
A4:3 picture is enlarged in the horizontal direc-
tiononly, giving you a 4:3 TV picture (normal pic-
ture)without any omissions.
Just(just)
Thepicture is enlarged slightly at the center and
theamount of enlargement increases horizontally
tothe ends, enabling you to enjoy a 4:3 picture
withoutsensing any disparity even on a wide
screen.
Cinema(cinema)
Thepicture is enlarged by the same proportion as
Fullor Zoom in the horizontal direction and by
anintermediate proportion between Full and
Zoomin the vertical direction; ideal for a cinema-
sizedpicture (wide screen picture) where cap-
tionslie outside.
Zoom(zoom)
A4:3 picture is enlarged in the same proportion
bothvertically and horizontally; ideal for a cine-
ma-sizedpicture (wide screen picture).
Normal(normal)
A4:3 picture is displayed as it is, giving you no
senseof disparity since its proportions are the
sameas that of the normal picture.
Notes
!Differentsettings can be memorized for each
videosource.
!Whenvideo is viewed in a wide screen mode
thatdoes not match its original aspect ratio, it
mayappear different.
!Rememberthat using the wide mode feature
ofthis system for commercial or public view-
ingpurposes may constitute an infringement
onthe authors rights protected by the Copy-
rightLaw.
!Thevideo image will appear coarser when
viewedin Cinema or Zoom mode.
