Chapter 4: Customizing Your Phone

3Select Backlight On Intensity.

4Use the Up or Down arrow keys to select high, medium, low, or off, then press the Select soft key. The default level is High.

5Select Backlight Idle Intensity.

6Use the Up or Down arrow keys to select high, medium, low, or off, and then press the Select soft key.

The default level is Low.

7Select Maximum Intensity.

8Press the Up or Down soft keys to increase or decrease the backlight intensity.

9Press the Ok soft key to accept changes.

Changing the Backlight Timeout

You can change the length of time your phone is idle before the backlight changes to the Backlight Idle Intensity.

To change the backlight timeout:

1Press the Menu key.

2Select Settings > Basic > Backlight Timeout.

3From the Backlight Timeout screen, scroll to the timeout you want, then press the Select soft key. The default timeout is 40 seconds.
