2. Connect the AC power cord.
3. Detach the wrist strap.
4. Replace the side access cover.
See Section7.3, “Replacing the Side Access Cover” on page 7-4.
5. Power on the system unit.
See Section6.1, “Powering On the System Unit” on page 6-2.
8.10 Shroud Assembly
Toremove and replace the shroud assembly, proceed as follows.

8.10.1 Removing the Shroud Assembly

1. Power off the system unit.
See Section6.2, “Powering Off the System Unit” on page 6-3.
2. Remove the side access cover.
See Section7.1, “Removing the Side Access Cover” on page 7-2.
Caution – Useproper ESD grounding techniques when handling components. Wear
an antistatic wrist strap and use an ESD-protected mat. Store ESD-sensitive
components in antistatic bags before placing them on any surface.
3. Attach the wrist strap.
See Section7.2, “Attaching the Wrist Strap” on page 7-3.
4. Remove the CPU modules.
See Section10.1.2, “Removing the CPU Module” on page 10-2.
5. Disconnect the shroud assembly as follows (FIGURE 8-25):
a. Disconnect the CPU fan assembly power cable from the motherboard connector
J2601.
b. Using a number 2 Phillips-head screwdriver, loosen the captive screws securing
the shroud assembly to the motherboard until the screws pop up.
c. Lift the locking lever to unlock the shroud assembly from the motherboard.
