Media and ink handling tips

Keep the media supplies, trays, and ink in covered containers. Dust and dirt can be transferred to the paper or transparency media, resulting in poor print quality.

Handle transparencies by the edges and with both hands to avoid fingerprints and creases, which can result in poor print quality.

Place slip sheets between printed transparencies or use a protective cover to prevent contact between transparencies.

To avoid having the paper stick together, gently fan the paper before loading it into the paper tray.

Paper that has been sitting out of its sealed wrapper can become distorted, causing paper jams. Keep paper sealed until you are ready to use it for printing.

Do not use paper that has been creased or wrinkled.
