CAUTION. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage components in
the module and the oscilloscope. To preventESD, follow the next list
of precautions when installing, removing, or handling an module.
After removing a module, install the dummy module cover to protect
the contact pins.
HAlways powerdown the oscilloscope before removingor
installing the module.
HHandle the module as little as possible.
HTransport and store the module in a static -protected bag or
container.
HDo not slide the module over any surface.
HWear a grounded antistatic wrist strap to discharge the static
voltage from your body while installing or removing a module
from the oscilloscope.
HDo not touch the oscilloscopemodule conne ctor pins.
HDo not use any devices capable of generat ing or holding a static
charge in the work area where you install or remove the module.
HAvoid handling the module in areas that have a floor or
work-surface covering capable of generating a static c harge.
HMake sure that you install the module cover after you remove the
module.
